Past Anulians from Sri Lanka and around the globe made their way to the Water’s Edge for a class reunion which was held recently. Organised by a group of students from the 1990 batch of Anula Vidyalaya, the gathering was held to foster and celebrate the friendships among the past students by providing them with an opportunity to reunite with their former batchmates. With the support of their peers, the organising committee was able to gather over 100 students for a night to remember.
The entertainment was provided by the Doctor Band and made it an occasion for the ladies to have fun, while raising funds for the medical expenses of two fellow batchmates. In addition the 1990 batch of Anulians were able to provide a donation to their alma mater as well.
The gathering was made possible due to the contributions of the batch, with the prizes for 22 raffle draws and 6 competitions being sponsored by the former students themselves. The grand prize was a return air ticket to Dubai courtesy of Sri Lankan Airlines.
