It was a novel experience for 12 couples who celebrated St. Valentine’s day watching a romantic film under a canopy of stars in the privacy of their own teepee on an island in the middle of the Bolgoda lake. Reel Colombo founded by Eric Heinrichs and Manasha Abeysinghe is a venture that offers outdoor film screenings to meet the demand from those who do not wish to go to cinema halls. Keen to offer a unique location, Reel Colombo collaborated with the picturesque Island on Bolgoda which provided a romantic backdrop for the evening. Reel Colombo and the Island on Bolgoda both ensured this novel experience followed the rules of the new normal. Guests also enjoyed a specially curated three course menu created by Malapia Bamford.
