Ladies’ College presented ‘SOSL POPS’ recently. It was a scintillating performance by the Symphony Orchestra conducted by Nishantha Warnakulasuriya. The programme included the Ladies’ College combined choirs of the OGA and Senior choir, and soloists Chrishantha De Silva (CC), Dinushka Jayawickrema, Melanie Bibile and Anushka Abeyratne, who sang some of the much loved hits from Broadway and musicals like Sound of Music, Mama Mia, Evita, Les Miserables and also hits of Queen and Skyfall from the Bond movie, to name a few. Proceeds from the show will be utilised towards the refurbishment of the hall. It was a truly magnificent and memorable event. Many commented that the evening’s performance was ‘truly magical’.
