The SLAS had a members reunion by way of a high tea at the Galle Face Hotel which was graced by many members. The Sri Lanka America Society (SLAS) was established in Sri Lanka in the year 1954 and since then it is functioning very smoothly with a membership of around 300 members and governed by an 18 member executive committee, who are duly elected biannually at the annual general meetings.
The Patron of the SLAS is The Ambassador of the United States of America in Sri Lanka.
