Their Future Today (TFT), a UK-based charity headed by Lynn Stanier MBE, recently hosted a reception at the Terrace Pavilion in Westminster. Lynn set up TFT after a visit to a dilapidated orphanage in Sri Lanka during her post-tsunami volunteer work in 2004. After that trip, she came away with the thought no child should live in those conditions, and every child should feel the love of family. Since then Lynn and her family have worked tirelessly to reduce child abandonment, reunite families, ensure education, transform institutions and advocate for foster care. In order to achieve this, TFT is working with Ministers, Judges, Probation workers and the community to change the legislature. The event was attended by Sri Lankan High Commissioner to the UK Saroja Sirisena, Lord Bird, Duchess Nivin El-Gamal, Richard Farleigh and many other dignitaries who are supporters of the charity.
