Architecture
Through a 10 year design process, designer Lawson Johnston created Malabar Hill, deriving inspiration from the boundless explorations of Sri Lanka. Malabar Hill is the true embodiment of artisan craftsmanship, evident in every component of the resort, from the locally handmade terracotta roof tiles to timber doors and windows. With its intricate mosaic tiling and the beautiful wooden trellises Malabar Hill has a Moorish vibe making it all the more interesting as it incorporates subtle Moorish architectural touches.
These architectural features blur the lines between your reality and the natural world, giving you an out-of-the-world experience with luxurious accommodation and minimal distractions. Combined with antique interiors, the colonial architectural space is built to elevate your experience in the nature.
